How do I register for the St Doms Portal?

Invitations to register for the St Doms Portal are sent via email to families new to the school in late January/early February.  For students starting at St Dominic's during the school year, the registration links are usually sent out within 2 weeks of your daughter's start date.

If you have not received your invitation please email datateam@stdoms.ac.nz

Who do I contact if I forget my St Doms Portal username or password?

If you have forgotten your St Doms Portal username or password, please email datateam@stdoms.ac.nz  -  include your full name as well as your daughter's name and year level so that we can identify you.

How do I report my daughter's absence?

If a student is going to be absent for the day, her parent/caregiver should let the school attendance officer know BEFORE 8:45am on the day of the absence (this also applies to EACH DAY of absence lasting more than one day).  The student must bring a note signed by the parent or caregiver explaining the absence to her Form Teacher as soon as she returns to school.
  • St Doms portal - Absence Notification
  • Message through the St Dominic's College App
  • Email: absentees@stdoms.ac.nz
  • Call Absentee Line: Phone 09 839 0380 x 8822

What if my daughter is late for school?

If your daughter is late, she is to go to the Helensville student foyer.  Only if the bus or train that should get her to school on time is late, she will use her Student ID in the Gatekeeper and select ‘Overdue Bus’, or ‘Overdue Train’.  Note that all students must carry their Student ID card with them each day at school.

For all other reasons for lateness your daughter must see the duty dean in the Helensville student foyer (8.30 to 9.30am) who will log her on their laptop for her lateness. Students arriving after 8.35am need to have a note from their parent or caregiver to explain their lateness.
After 9.30am students are to go to the office for their late pass.  Students must then show the late pass to their subject teacher to go into their lesson but give the late pass to their form teacher.

What do I do if my daughter has to leave school early?

Please send a signed and dated note with your daughter stating the reason for leave, eg doctor's appointment. Your daughter will give the note to a Dean and request an Exit Pass, which is shown to the subject teacher when she needs to leave class.  The Exit Pass is then shown to the office staff who will log your daughter out of school.

On her return to school, your daughter is to sign back in at the office, and show the slip to her subject teacher as she goes into class.  She is to give the slip to her form teacher.

How can I see my daughter's school report?

Continuous reporting is available to view on the St Doms Portal via the Student Progress button.  Teachers update this throughout the year.

In addition to this, at certain times through the year a progress report will be available for you to view or print from Student Information/Documents on the Portal.

See here for more information on student reporting

If any of your contact details have changed, or emergency contact information needs updating, please email datateam@stdoms.ac.nz and include your daughter's name and year level as reference.

What time will my daughter's class trip return to school?

Please read these easy-to-follow instructions on how to download and use the PCS Route app.

How can I pay my daughter's school fees?

We prefer online payments of school fees - either by credit card through the secure St Doms Payment Portal or via internet banking.  You will receive a monthly invoice by email, which will include a link to the Payment Portal and bank account details.

Alternatively, you can pay at the school office.

Do we have to be a Catholic family for my daughter to attend St Dominic's College?

As we are a Catholic school, students whose parents have an established religious connection with the Catholic character of the college will be given preference for enrolment.

However, we do have a limited number of places available for non-Catholic students.  Enrolments received from non-Catholic families will be put on a waiting list.
