Invitations to register for the Spider Parent Portal are sent via email to families new to the school in late January/early February. For students starting at St Dominic's during the school year, the registration links are usually sent out within 2 weeks of your daughter's start date.
Who do I contact if I forget my Spider username or password?
If you have forgotten your Spider portal username or password, please email email@example.com - include your full name as well as your daughter's name and year level so that we can identify you.
How do I report my daughter's absence?
If your daughter is going to be late or absent for the day, parents/caregivers are required to let the Attendance Officer know before 8.45am on the day of the absence. This also applies to each day of absence if lasting more than one day. You can do this as follows and include your daughter's name, form class and reason for absence.
What do I do if my daughter has to leave school early?
Please send a signed and dated note with your daughter stating the reason for leave, eg doctor's appointment. Your daughter will give the note to a Dean and request an Exit Pass, which is shown to the subject teacher when she needs to leave class.
Before leaving the college, students will swipe their student ID at the Gate Keeper machine to log their departure time.
How do I update my Contact Information?
If any of your contact details have changed, or emergency contact information needs updating, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and include your daughter's name and year level as reference.
How do I contact my daughter's subject teacher or Dean?
We prefer online payments of school fees - either by credit card through the secure Spider Payment Portal or via internet banking. You will receive a monthly invoice by email, which will include a link to the Payment Portal and bank account details.
Alternatively, you can pay at the school office.
Do we have to be a Catholic family for my daughter to attend St Dominic's College?
As we are a Catholic school, students whose parents have an established religious connection with the Catholic character of the college will be given preference for enrolment.
However, we do have a limited number of places available for non-Catholic students. Enrolments received from non-Catholic families will be put on a waiting list.
How much are the school fees?
You can find the latest information on school fees HERE or click Enrolment at the top of the screen.
Do you have a second-hand uniform shop?
We gladly accept pre-loved donated uniforms and you are welcome to contact the office to see if any are available. Phone (09) 839 0380 or email email@example.com
The St Dominic's Catholic College uniform is available from Elizabeth Michael Uniforms. There is also a date in January when a pop-up shop operates from the College gym - look on the College calendar for details.
Does my daughter need her own device?
Yes, all students are required to have a suitable device to use in class such as a chromebook, tablet, or laptop. See the BYOD information handbook for more details.
