Congratulations team! Isabella and Kanoa Palemene-Itunu represented Saint Dominic’s college in the composite team comprised of St Mary’s, and  Marist college students.  They were given the opportunity to train for a few sessions before competing in the Auckland Schools senior Waka Ama regatta. It was a worthy cause; in that they achieved their goals and had a great time. A huge thank you to all those involved in supporting our Rangatahi, Long may it continue!


Surfing News: Ella Withers competed in the Intermediate School Scholastics Competition as well as the U14s Billabong National Series, which is across three competitions. She won both titles and is now the regional intermediates champ and the national Billabong series champ. We wish Ella, Poppy Arkle, and their composite team of surfers from Green Bay High the best of luck at the upcoming NZSS Surf Festival in Muriwai this week.
 

Swimming News:  Congratluations to our yr 7&8 swimmers, Oshean Augustin and Maddison Chang, who have qualified to represent Saint Dominic’s Catholic College in the Auckland Swimming Championships next week on Wednesday, 20th March. With great placings in the finals of their events, they have achieved their goals for both their school swim sports day and at western zones- 2 days in a row! Well done girls!
 

Athletics Champs:  Bianca Alexoiu and Sina Anae Paila have qualified for the Auckland Athletics Champs on Tuesday, 26th March at Go Media, Mt Smart. Bianca will be representing Saint Dominic’s College in the Intermediate girls Long Jump and Sina, in the Junior girls 200m and 300m – We wish you the very best of Luck.
 

Equestrian news:  At Friday morning assembly, Charlotte Cashin received a winning ribbon as the overall Senior Secondary School Rider for the 2024 NZPCA Dressage Championship that she won with her horse, Cashins World Star. Well done Charlotte, on your achievements and we look forward to following you on your journey this season.
