Each year, as part of the Religious Education programme, all students at St Dominic's Catholic College attend a day retreat, organised and led by the Director of Religious Studies and staff from the Religious Education Department.
Year 7 Retreat
Our year 7 students recently attended their retreat at Te Pai, themed ‘UN-TITLED’ led by the inspiring NET team.
The day focused on junior leadership and building community and students engaged in a variety of activities that encouraged teamwork, self-reflection, and meaningful connection with others.
They also had the opportunity to deepen their relationship with God, exploring how faith can guide their choices and leadership. Throughout the retreat, students embraced new challenges, formed lasting connections, and discovered that true leadership is not about having a title, but about empathy, initiative, and a positive attitude.
The experience has laid a strong foundation for a supportive and connected year ahead, and we look forward to seeing our Year 7s continue to grow in confidence, character, and faith.
Year 13 Retreat
At the end of Term 3, our Year 13 cohort gathered at Willow Park for our final retreat, led by the LOGOS team. We reflected on our past, present, and future, sharing laughter, memories, and gratitude for our journey at St Dominic's.
HighIights included a Iight-hearted performance of school stories and a moving candlelit reflection that deepened our unity and faith. As we left, we were encouraged to trust God's plan and step forward with hope and courage.
