A huge congratulations to our 1st XI Football team on a great season!
The girls have shown determination, teamwork and commitment throughout the season and have represented St Dominic’s with pride both on and off the field
Our girls finished a commendable 8th place at the Kathy Seaward Tournament but their final placing doesn’t tell the full story. What stood out most was their teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship, and commitment to one another throughout the tournament.
Across the tournament, our team received consistent praise from opposition coaches and referees for the positive style of football they played. Their teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment to one another were evident in every match. This is a team that genuinely has each other’s backs, both on and off the field.
Up against some very strong opposition, including representative-level players, our girls fought hard in every match, with narrow 1–0 and 2–0 results. They never stopped working, supporting each other, or representing St Dominic’s with pride.
With only three Year 13 players leaving, this is a young squad with an exciting future ahead!
A huge thank you to our coach Katie Searle for her dedication, leadership, and passion throughout the season and tournament. We are so grateful for everything she has given to this team.
Congratulations, girls - what a team! We are incredibly proud of you!
